Rednecked Oom Pah Pah

I was lucky enough to go to the Royals vs. Mariners game Monday AND Tuesday night. What was not so lucky about my sojourn into Kaufman Stadium was the 7th inning stretch.

I am now whole-heartedly convinced that it is impossible for Mid-Westerners to sing the song "I've Got Friends in Low Places" without swaying. Please witness:

98.56 percent of the time, this involves alcohol.

Experiment and report back, but I'm pretty sure you'll find it's true....

Drink at least 6 overpriced beers (or a bottle of cheap wine, your choice) and try to sing that song without swaying next to your BFF/Significant Other.

Impossible.

I'm pretty sure Group Singing of Garth can fit into "I Love Ranch Dressing Vol. II"

I'm sure it's pure alcohol/Redneck physics, but I was a double Liberal Arts major so I can't really comment. You might want to test the theory against the song "Cotton Eyed Joe". I'm pretty sure you'll find similar effects.

btw: "I Love Ranch Dressing" is on my Christmas list. I plan on buying multiples for my in-laws. You should too. And subscribe to Cara's blog. It's a hoot as we say in the Mid-West.

Oh yeah and my dream baseball game would be the 1985 Royals against the late 1990's Mariners. It didn't happen in last few nights, but a girl can dream, right?
