What kind of commenter are you?

I saw this over on mental floss and it's just a really interesting article. I'm not sure what kind of commenter I am, I just know I usually like to leave and receive 'em. (As long as they are mostly nice/at least has a valid point if I'm wrong)... I've been extremely busy lately and I haven't left as many comments/blogged as many entries as I'd like. Hopefully things will simmer down soon...

Anyway...

Check it out!

I try to play nice. I have left some comments I'm not proud of (not here) but we all have bad days.
I have had Aliens comment on my Dark blog. It was cool! She spoke Italian and didn't know that my posts were usually my way of venting.
Hugs!!

I always comment in a civilized way and under my blog name. Never anonymously. Likewise I give zero credence to any anonymous comments unless the identity of the commenter being known would cause job loss or the like. I assume that not to be the case in 99% of anons. I did call someone an idiot once on another blog... but that will never happen again. Really, if one doesn't have something nice or constructive to say silence is golden.

I comment on things that interest me and to lend support to people I consider members of my bloggy world. I don't see the point of trolling or boasting or any of those other behaviors. It is easy enough to ignore a post or a blog if it really bothers you. However I also shy away from trivial comments--I like to have an actual thought to share.

I tend to be humorous, and were possible supportive.
I try not to get involved in on-line arguments.
If I am not contributing to the conversation I don't post.
OK, that last one isn't entirely true. Sometimes I post just enough to let the OP know I read it and it mad me think (good, bad or sideways).
